A beloved local tradition, the Bentonville Christmas Parade is Saturday, Dec. 14 at 6 p.m.
More than 100 floats will make their way through the streets of downtown Bentonville, with an expected attendance of over 10,000 people, according to event organizers Downtown Bentonville Inc.
The parade has a new route this year. It will go up Main Street to the Square, take a left on 2nd Street, and then take another left on SW A Street. The parade will continue down A Street and end at the First Baptist Parking Lot.
Weather forecasts show a possibility for rain, but the parade will go on rain or shine.
Street closures for this event begin at 5:30 a.m. on Saturday — roads around the Bentonville Square and along the parade route will be affected. You can see parking options here.
Can’t make the parade? On Christmas morning at 9 a.m., 5NEWS will air an one-hour special of DWTN Now featuring the parade. The show will provide a highlight of parade floats as well as appearances from community guests.
