Bentonville residents can pick up free trees during the city’s annual Spring Tree Giveaway on Saturday, April 12, at the Bentonville Municipal Complex (3200 SW Municipal Dr.).

The event, a city tradition for more than a decade, aims to enhance residential landscapes and expand the city’s tree canopy.

This year’s tree species include Red Maple, Paw Paw, Redbud, Tulip Poplar, White Flowering Dogwood, Green Giant, and Baldcypress.

There is no pre-registration for the giveaway. Trees are given away on a first come, first serve basis. The giveaway is open to Bentonville residents only. Participants must show a Bentonville utility bill or driver’s license to qualify.

The giveaway is made possible by the City’s Tree & Landscape Advisory Committee, Compton Gardens & Arboretum and Walton Family Foundation.
